We are pleased to announce that we now offer Open Banking as a payment method to our customers.
What is Open Banking? Open banking is the newest form of secure online payment that enables customers to transfer money from their online bank account to another bank account in a few clicks. Open banking auto populates the payment amount and banking details of each party to make the paying process quick and simple. This method enab
les the company or individual access to your accounts, if you grant them the permissions, to ensure the correct amount of money is transferred.
How does Open Banking work? We will send an SMS to the customer’s mobile phone which will contain a link. When the customer clicks the link, they will be redirected to a page where the customer will be asked to select which bank they would like to transfer money from. Once selected, this will redirect them to their personal online banking platform, where they will be required to log in, and confirm that they would like to make payment to Dukes Bailiffs Limited. Once the customer confirms, payment is made bank to bank.
Is Open Banking secure? Yes, Open Banking is secure. We use a third-party company, Ecospend, to process the Open Banking. Ecospend are authorized by the Financial Conduct Authority, meaning that the firm treats all consumers in compliance with the strict criteria laid out by the FCA.
Can customers still use other payment methods? Yes. We will still offer all our usual payment methods, however, Open Banking is our newest and most efficient method of payment, so we do encourage customers use this.
